My Husbands' Family

My husband's paternal family came from England, Scotland, and Ireland from the 1700s and 1800s and settled into Greenbrier County, WVA and Kentucky. The family branched out into several areas in VA, KY, Maryland, and WVA.

His maternal side came from Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland and Germany from the 1600s and 1800s and settled primarily in and around Richmond, VA; Amelia County, VA; Amherst County, VA; Nelson County, VA; the Shenandoah area, and Campbell County, VA. They consisted mainly of Scottish-Irish and German descent.

The main surnames in his family tree are: Beahm, Craig, Stanley, Surgeon, and Watson.

My Family

The maternal side of my family tree primarily came from England in the early 1600s to settle primarily in the Ohio and Kentucky area, and family from the Abruzzo, L'Aquile, Collelongo region in Italy, through Ellis Island. They settled primarily in upstate New York and Pennsylvania in the early 1900s.

The paternal side of my family tree came from Germany and England in the late 1600s through the early 1800s to settle in Ohio, Maine, Illinois, and New Hampshire.

The main surnames in my family tree are: Cashier/Casciere, Dykes, Hubert, Neely, Schillinger, and Thrasher/Thresher.
